There's only one thing for it Matty - back to South Yarra or the city for that DVD! Really, though, once you go DVD you can't EVER go back to VHS, there's too much of a change.
If you want something that was made completely to take advantage of the magnificence of DVD go pick up
Lord Of The Rings - it looks incredible. Especially if you see it before you go to see The Two Towers. Which, of course, you will ALL be doing as it is simply the most incredible experience in a cinema. The battle of Rohan is the single most amazing piece of technology ever put on film - there's upwards of 10,000 warriors in a massive battle whcih just rocks. And if you don't like Orcs, you can always go with Ents...;)
The enticing image of Runchey tapping out to the Crippler Crossface should be enough motiviation for your NYE resolution Cal. And what about Christina Ricci in
The Opposite of Sex? Not a bad movie that.
